For more than 50 years, Alfred Richard created a selection of quality tools. He made the decision after fifty years to sell his business to the Gregoire and Panfili families. Committed to continuing the family-run business, the families relocated the A. Richard Tool Company in 1942 to Berthierville.



By 1997, a 3rd generation of the Gregoire and Panfili families took the business over from their elderly counterparts. A. Richard preserved over eighty-five percent of the Canadian hand tool industry and joined Hyde Tools, Inc. in 2003.

A. RICHARD Expands

A. Richard acquired Roultech in 2006, a manufacturer and distributor of paint brushes and paint rollers. Roultech’s knowledge and A. Richard’s expertise in development and marketing were combined, creating a winning team effective at securing the applicator market.
In 2006, A. Richard broadened by taking over a roller and paint brush manufacturer and distributor called Roultech. Combining expertise and experience in marketing and creation generated a winning business power team able to secure the paint applicator market. The prosperous business makes around 1200 pieces that are for sale in fourteen countries around the world.
